Hey! I'm so glad you're here!

Welcome! I am so glad that you're here! I'm Monica Parsons of Learning with Monica. I created this web site to serve upper elementary teachers! Here you will find informative blog posts, free classroom resources, and engaging, rigorous, high-quality classroom resources for your upper elementary classroom!

I started teaching in 2002. I was a classroom teacher for 19 years. I spent 16 years teaching fourth grade, and 3 years teaching first. My heart will always be in fourth grade! It was my favorite!

In July 2021, I resigned from my teaching position. While this was a difficult choice to make, I had complete peace about it. I prayed about this decision for years, and I knew that was God's plan for me. I pulled my son out of public school and began the journey of homeschooling. We absolutely loved it! This also gave me more time to create resources for teachers around the world, which I love doing!

In August 2022, God opened a new door. Now I am back in the classroom, but in a completely different role. I am an instructional technology facilitator at a very small school. I help teachers and students with all things technology. It's my dream job! Blake is back in public school and loving it! I am still creating resources when I get home in the evenings, because I love that job, too!
